W32 sasser worm is one of the best-known worms. It has designed to infect only Windows 2000 and XP, although it can also be run on 95/98/Me family. W32 sasser uses LSASS vulnerability, as described at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS04-011.mspx. When started, w32 sasser worms starts an ftp server used to spread the virus on the Internet.
