It's a piece of goo, hardly worth mentioning. W32 pate is an old and ill-written virus that causes most of its damage simply because its coding is less than terrible. It's not a mass-mailer; w32 pate propagates itself just like any virus in "good old times" before the Net. The
problem is that w32 pate frequently mis-infects files, giving them only a part of its code and thus effectively destroying them. I have no words for such things. Kids should not be allowed to write viruses like w32 pate.
