W32 mydoommm is a general name for almost 100 versions of this worm. The main characteristics of w32 mydoommm worms are (1) using its own SMTP engine to propagate itself; (2) high rate of infections caused by mass-mailing capabilities (certainly better than w32 bagle's ones);
(3) ability to disable most anti-virus and firewall programs. If the first is just an interesting fact and the second only annoyance, the third w32 mydoommm characteristic means a real danger, as it opens the way for other, less-sophisticated but more malicious infections.
